ASSIST Corp. Announces Release of ASSISTics Software Product
DOWNINGTOWN, PA - November 1, 2001 - ASSIST Corp., a leading solutions provider
for the Process Manufacturing industry, announces the release of ASSISTics v1.1.
ASSISTics fills a much-needed void in the Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
space through leading-edge technology for Process Manufacturers.
In the past three years, ASSIST has earned a reputation of providing leading
technology solutions to manufacturers worldwide. With more than 30 clients in
North America and Europe, ASSIST has extensive experience working with
manufacturers in many industries including food, chemicals, and agriculture.
In continuing to address the needs of manufacturing companies, ASSIST created
the ASSISTics Warehouse and Inventory Management solution to fill the void in
the marketplace. Built on a J2EE-compliant architecture and using the latest
bar-code scanner technology, ASSISTics takes the warehouse into the 21st
century.
As a company that provides solutions to process manufacturers, ASSIST leveraged
their experience and knowledge to create a best-of-breed solution that addresses
the pains felt in the warehouse today.
"Our clients continually expressed the need for a Warehouse solution that moved
beyond the traditional text based screens and data-segregated environments of
current WMS solutions," says Mark Scanlon, President of ASSIST. "In our
continued focus to address the needs of our clients and the broader marketplace,
we created a solution that can move manufacturing companies and their warehouses
into today's complex environment."
ASSISTics is a true client-server intranet based system. The only installation
required on the client is a web-browser. This results in significant time and
cost savings during implementation. Once installed, ASSISTics provides a number
of standard transactions for data collection, shipping and receiving.
Additionally, ASSISTics is customizable for specialized needs.
ASSISTics also comes standard with the Task Management Console (TMC). The TMC
provides the supervisor a complete real-time view of all the activities being
performed in the warehouse. This includes the ability to monitor order
fulfillment, production, receiving, and cycle counting. All activity can be
monitored from anywhere - warehouse, front office, or even at home - by a PC
with a web browser installed.
ASSISTics' Product Architect, Scott Melcher, is confident that all of these
attributes add up to the ultimate goal - quick return on investment. "Based on
our experience working with this product and others, we expect our customers to
see a return on investment in a matter of months as opposed to years. ASSISTics
raises the bar for Warehouse Management Solutions."
